CFL Week 3

CALGARY +4 over Montreal
Montreal are off to a great start but I don't expect it to last. Calgary are a good team on both sides of the ball and should be much tougher competition than a Winnipeg team that doesn't have an offense and a Hamilton team that gave the game away against the Alouettes in Week 1.

EDMONTON -2 over Toronto
The "fun to be around" Argos were exposed and got their asses handed to them in Toronto by the "lowly" Ti-Cats last week. QB controversies are great since I love fading the team that is in this situation. Edmonton showed some character in their come-from-behind win last week over Calgary and should be able to carry some of the momentum through to this week. Comonwealth Stadium is a tough venue for any visiting team and when you don't have a running game it is even tougher.

No decision in the other 2 games yet.

GL this week Mark. I am also on the Stamps but took the Argos to win outright however. I would expect them to bounce back but I feel ya about the QB controversy thing for sure man.

Thanks, but I don't think "the Argos will bounce back" angle works. Toronto is so over-rated this year due to the acquisition of Joseph but one man does not make an offense better, especially when there is a disgruntled back-up on the sidelines. Besides, Toronto have a pathetic running game so it will be blitz, blitz, blitz at a very hostile Commonwealth Stadium!

2-0 so far this week

Friday night......

WINNIPEG -2 over Vancouver
I have absolutely no confidence in Buck Pierce, Jarious Jackson and the rest of the B.C. offense. The Lions have only scored 34 points in their first 2 games of the season and that just isn't good enough to win in the CFL. Winnipeg played an excellent 2nd Half in their last game vs. Montreal. Even though they lost the game, they should be able to cary some of that momentum through to tonight's game. Also, Milt Stegal returns to the line-up tonight and I expect he will be hooking up with Kevin Glenn to give Winnipeg's offense an extra lift.

Good Luck
